This policy explains the limited information FieldPaw may process when you browse this website or follow an affiliate link. It does not cover the independent practices of Amazon, product manufacturers, or other websites.
Information processed during a visit
- Basic server records. The hosting provider may process standard security and delivery data, such as an IP address, browser information, requested page, timestamp, and error details.
- Affiliate click events. When a managed product link is used, FieldPaw may record the article, product, tracking ID, time, general device class, and a coarse referrer group. The affiliate click log is designed not to store a name, email address, phone number, Amazon customer ID, raw IP address, or precise identity.
- Information you choose to send. If you contact FieldPaw, we process the message and contact details needed to respond.
Cookies and similar technology
WordPress, the hosting provider, and security or performance services may use cookies or similar technology needed to operate, protect, and deliver the site. FieldPaw does not use its affiliate click log to build a profile of an identified visitor. If optional analytics or advertising tools are added later, this policy and any required consent controls must be updated before those tools are enabled.
Amazon and other external links
Paid links may direct you to Amazon or another external website. Those services receive information under their own privacy policies and may use cookies, account information, or transaction data independently of FieldPaw. FieldPaw does not receive your Amazon password, payment details, complete order, or Amazon customer identity.
How information is used
- Operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website.
- Measure whether an editorial link was used without attempting to identify the visitor.
- Respond to messages and correction requests.
- Meet legal, accounting, and affiliate-program obligations.
Retention and sharing
Information should be kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above. Service providers may process limited information to host, secure, or maintain the site. FieldPaw does not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed when required by law or needed to protect the site and its users.
Your choices
You may use browser controls to limit cookies, although essential site features may be affected. You may also contact FieldPaw to ask about information you previously submitted, request a correction, or raise a privacy concern. The Contact page lists the current communication method.
Children
FieldPaw is written for adult pet owners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children to submit personal information.
